Less information. More image.

DTHRCAM is a digital camera that doesn’t try to capture reality more clearly. Instead, it rebuilds it with fewer colors and fewer pixels.

The name DTHR is a compressed form of DITHER. Dithering is a digital imaging technique that arranges a limited number of colors in patterns, allowing the eye to perceive shades and tones that aren’t actually there.

DTHRCAM uses this principle not simply as an effect, but as a way of seeing and expressing. While modern cameras move toward more pixels and more accurate colors in pursuit of reality,

DTHRCAM deliberately moves in the opposite direction. It reduces information, limits color, reveals pixels, breaks the image apart, and rebuilds it. Instead of recording everything perfectly, choose what remains.

Shoot photos and videos while seeing the dithered image in real time, or import existing photos and videos and rebuild them through DTHRCAM.

Use presets including RETRO, SOFT, CRUNCH, FADED, MONO, and DIGITAL, or shape your own look by adjusting PIXEL, COLORS, DITHER, SATURATION, CONTRAST, and VIGNETTE.

DTHRCAM supports ORIGINAL, 1:1, 4:3, and 16:9, using the same image-processing language across both photos and video.

From afar, an image. Up close, pixels and signal. See the pixels again.

Meet DTHR — a small digital camera for seeing reality differently.
